Chinese vice president meets Cambodian king

BEIJING, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan on Wednesday met with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, who is here for the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations.

Noting that the two countries share profound traditional friendship, Wang said the bilateral relationship is at its best in history under the leadership of the two heads of state.

Asian countries should enhance cultural confidence, strive hand-in-hand for new development of Asia, and jointly build a community with a shared future for humanity, Wang said.

Sihamoni said the Cambodian side is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China in various areas and push forward bilateral relations to achieve further progress in the new era.
