BEIJING, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Zhao Leji Thursday met with Papua New Guinean Prime Minister Peter O'Neill, who is here to attend the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
Zhao, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said the bilateral relations have become a model for China's relations with Pacific island countries.
China is willing to work together with Papua New Guinea to synergize the Belt and Road Initiative with Papua New Guinea's development plans, so as to benefit peoples of the two countries through pragmatic cooperation, said Zhao, who is also secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
