BEIJING, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng on Friday met with Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, who is here to attend the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
Han, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said China-Thailand cooperation enjoys broad prospects, and China is willing to continuously strengthen high-level contacts and deepen pragmatic cooperation with Thailand to secure new progress in bilateral relations.
Prayut said Thailand will firmly support the joint building of the Belt and Road, and stands ready to work with China to boost cooperation on regional connectivity. As the rotating chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Thailand is willing to promote ASEAN-China cooperation, he said.
